About your physician. Ajax Harwood Clinic has several physicians, including two female physicians — but their practices are full, and Dr. Carlos Yu (he/him), a male family physician, is the only one currently accepting new patients. Enrolling now means Dr. Yu will be your family doctor; it is not a way to be seen by, or transfer to, another physician later. If you are specifically seeking a female physician, we aren’t able to offer that for new patients at this time, and want you to find the care that’s right for you.

Once accepted, your first appointment establishes your care — we review your history, answer questions, and build your plan.
A note about appointments: if you can't attend an appointment with us or a specialist, please tell that office as early as you can. Missed appointments delay your care, the specialist may charge a no-show fee, and a referral that has to be redone is an administrative service OHIP does not cover, so a fee may apply. If something is making it hard to attend, please tell us — we'll help.
